Gwennap Pit

Gwennap Pit

Only a 5-minute drive or 16-minute walk from Kitts Cottage, Gwennap Pit is steeped in history as the richest copper mining district in Cornwall during the 18th and early 19th centuries. The pit itself was formed by mining subsidence in the mid-18th century.
